Remember when I mentioned in my previous post how a groveling scene can totally make or break a romance book? Well, let's dive into that topic a bit more, shall we? Now, I know there's been some talk and debate about those dramatic third-act breakup scenes, but guess what? I'm a huge fan of them, especially in romance books! Why, you ask? Well, here's the scoop: I absolutely love it when the groveling happens after the breakup. It's that magical moment when the person who messed up finally realizes they can't live without their other half and goes all out to win them back. Talk about fireworks!

Look, sometimes you crave a fantasy book. You want action-packed scenes, high-stakes, fights, magic systems, and even talking animals. You want epic adventures that make the characters grow closer. But if you’re like me, you also want to read a romance book. How someone falls in love and finds their other half. How there are small moments between characters, like holding their hand and kissing their forehead, that make you fall madly in love with the book immediately. But what if you crave both of them at the same time? The good thing is that fantasy romance books exist; a little bit of one and a little bit of the other mixed together in one unique and beautiful book.

Age gap romance novels have become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. These books explore the complex dynamics of relationships between individuals of different ages, and the challenges that can come with such relationships.

Cowboy romances are a subgenre of romance novels that feature rugged, masculine heroes and strong, independent heroines in a Western setting. These stories are full of adventure, passion, and heart-warming moments that capture the essence of the Wild West.

There is something undeniably attractive about a cowboy. With their rugged good looks, strong work ethic, and down-to-earth personalities, it's no wonder they have captured our hearts in romance novels and film for decades. 

February is Black History Month, a month when Black Americans’ achievements and contributions are honored. I believe you should always support Black authors' work throughout the year though! So, please always try to share light to their work and read their books during the year, not JUST during February. 

For this list, I wanted to highlight a favorite romantic trope of mine, fake dating!

Small town romances are comfort reads for me, hands down. I could read them forever and I would never get tired of them. They give you found family, warmth, and lots of love and for me, those are the perfect ingredients for a romance novel.

One of my all-time favorite tropes is the “city girl goes to a small town” because I just love heroines who are a little bit lost, a little bit lonely, and find a family in a small town where they never thought it could happen.
